Job Overview: Quality & Test Manager
Role Description
L’Oréal is looking for a Quality & Test Manager to support its ecommerce development activities. As part of the ecommerce factory team, you’ll be defining and executing the test strategy for the program and ensuring the strategy is scalable for all regions contributing to the program. Also responsible for setting up and managing the teams of QA (vendor relationship, budget).
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
The Quality and Test Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality products or services by overseeing both the quality assurance (QA) and testing processes within the organization. Responsible for developing and implementing robust quality management systems and testing strategies to meet established standards and customer requirements. Strategies must be scalable across all teams contributing to the E-Commerce program.
Specific Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive quality assurance and testing strategies aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
- Lead and manage a team of QA engineers, testers, and QA automation engineers (mostly external resources for now).
- Establish and maintain quality management systems, processes, and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Define and execute testing methodologies, plans, and procedures for our E-Commerce ecosystem to identify defects, ensure functionality, and optimize performance.
- Conduct risk assessments and collaborate with cross-functional teams to mitigate risks related to product quality, functionality, and usability.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing testing results, identifying areas for enhancement, and implementing corrective and preventive actions to improve product quality.
- Manage resources effectively, including budget, tools, and personnel, to ensure efficient and effective execution of QA and testing activities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including product managers, developers, service delivery managers, DevOps, and project managers, to communicate quality-related issues, progress, and recommendations.
- Develop and maintain quality metrics and reporting mechanisms to track and communicate key performance indicators, defect trends, and testing progress to senior management.
- Develop a community around quality across all regions to share best practices and align quality process in all teams working on the program.
Our Tech Stack
The Automatic testing tool currently used is Testim from Tricentis. The CI/CD stack is composed of Bitbucket for source control, Jenkins for Automation, both running on a Microsoft Azure infrastructure. The E-Commerce engine is Demandware aka Salesforce Commerce Cloud/Salesforce BC Commerce.
