The Job

This role will be fully remote (working from home), based anywhere in Europe. Occasional travel may be required to attend team meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Category Management to build customer journey maps that form the category merchandising plan
  • Understand customer buying behaviors on our eCommerce sites and draw insight and recommendations for product gaps and focus areas
  • Ensure key products, brands, and suppliers are prioritised and represented within the customer journeys and improve advertising opportunities
  • Understand inbound traffic to ensure the best first level content is in place and working optimally
  • Build scenarios for dynamic product recommendations in up-sell or cross-sell across all areas of the site
  • Develop understanding of customer contextual search and technical needs
  • Ensure the results of onsite search are displayed, working in collaboration with ecommerce, production, product management and master data teams
  • Build tools, such as product selector guides, that help customers find the desired products quickly and easily
  • Ensure accurate tracking to drive reporting against conversion targets

Who We Are Looking For

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a Life Science, such as chemistry, biochemistry, biology, etc. (essential)
  • Some experience of how large eCommerce sites work and understanding of eCommerce Product Merchandising
  • Ability to translate customer/segment requirements into practical tools
  • A customer-focused attitude, combined with a commercial approach
  • Fluent in English (essential), additional European languages a plus
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office; experience with MS Access would be helpful
  • Willingness and ability to travel occasionally within Europe (max 10% per annum), including overnight stays
