Job Title: DBA Administrator
Lengow, a leading e-commerce platform, is seeking a skilled DBA Administrator to join its platform team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for optimizing the platform’s database systems to ensure high performance, availability, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and optimize existing database systems, including data modeling, queries, indexes, and scalability.
- Optimize the high-volume, high-availability PostgreSQL database hosted on EKS.
- Manage PostgreSQL databases within AWS, leveraging RDS and other relevant services.
- Deploy, manage, and scale PostgreSQL databases on AWS EKS (Kubernetes).
- Ensure optimal performance and availability of database services within the Kubernetes clusters.
- Participate in implementing database sharding to ensure better scalability.
- Ensure the proper functioning of the SaaS platform and database management system upgrades.
- Work closely with developers to optimize queries and performance by sharing your knowledge and skills and understanding business logic.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in DevOps, database management, and cloud architecture.
- Experience in PostgreSQL, AWS, EKS, RDS, and Aurora.
- Comfortable working with large data volumes, monitoring tools, and execution plan analysis.
- Eager to deepen your knowledge of replication and high availability concepts.
- Skills in MongoDB and NoSQL are a plus.
- BigQuery knowledge is a plus.
- Knowledge of and a keen interest in the web and e-commerce.
- Familiarity with Terraform.
