About Lengow
Since 2009, Lengow is the indispensable e-commerce platform for multi-channel expansion in the European market: marketplaces, marketing channels, price monitoring, and dynamic pricing.
Platform Team
The platform team is composed of 2 devops and one head of platform and backend. You will join the platform team to optimize our platform in collaboration with the engineering teams.
Main Tasks
- Analyze and optimize the existing systems (data modeling, queries, indexes, scalability, performance optimization, cost optimization, logs management, backup management, security).
- Optimize our high-volume, high-availability PostgreSQL database hosted on EKS (for now).
- Manage PostgreSQL databases within AWS, leveraging RDS and other relevant services.
- Deploy, manage, and scale PostgreSQL databases on AWS EKS (Kubernetes).
- Ensure optimal performance and availability of database services within the Kubernetes clusters.
- Participate in implementing database sharding to ensure better scalability.
- Ensure the proper functioning of the SaaS platform and the database management system upgrades.
Collaboration
Work closely with developers to optimize queries and performance by sharing your knowledge and skills and understanding business logic.

Experience and Skills
- You have at least 5 years experience in Devops, database management, and cloud architecture.
- You have experience in PostgreSQL, AWS, EKS, RDS, Aurora.
- You are comfortable working with large data volumes, monitoring tools, and execution plan analysis.
- You are eager to deepen your knowledge of replication and high availability concepts.
- Skills in MongoDB and NoSQL are a plus.
- BigQuery knowledge is a plus.
- You have knowledge of and a keen interest in the web and e-commerce.
- You know modern CI / CD tooling.
- You are familiar with Terraform.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
